Plain language, no legalese

Your words stay with you.

Kindling was built so a family can talk about hard questions together. This page explains, in plain words, what the app does and does not do with what you write.

Conversations stay on this device

Everything you write — answers, gut checks, feelings, saved conversations — is stored only in this device's own storage. It never travels to a server, because there is no server.

No accounts, no analytics, no ads

Kindling does not ask who you are. It has no sign-in, no tracking tools, no advertising, and no hidden collection of any kind.

You are always in control

You can clear your saved conversations at any time from your browser's site settings, and the app works entirely without an internet connection.

Nothing is graded or compared

There are no scores, rankings, or match counts anywhere in Kindling — by design. Agreement is never the goal; understanding is.

Questions? Say hello.

If something isn't clear, or a family member has a question, write to us at Support@kindling.com. A real person reads every note.

If Kindling ever changes how it handles information, this page will describe that change here first.
